Hours after Google send out the comic book introducing their new open source browser, Google Chrome, Google release the much awaited browser for public for download. Google says that they are launching the new browser to add value for users and to help drive innovation on the web. The announced officially the launch of the new browser, and it is available only for Windows users as of now.

Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier. The features, as Google says incorporated in the browsers are a lot. But all of them are already available with all the other web browsers.
The impressive feature, however, I felt is, like the classic Google homepage, Google Chrome is also clean and fast. It gets out of your way and gets you where you want to go.

Inbuilt Developer Tools are Handy

Also the inbuilt Developer tools are helpful when the user is a developer, through which you can check the page errors and JavaScript validation.

Dynamic Tabs : You can drag tabs out of the browser to create new windows, gather multiple tabs into one window or arrange your tabs however you wish — quickly and easily.

Crash Control : Every tab you’re using is run independently in the browser, so if one app crashes it won’t take anything else down.

Incognito Mode : Don’t want pages you visit to show up in your web history? Choose incognito mode for private browsing.

Safe Browsing : Google Chrome warns you if you’re about to visit a suspected phishing, malware or otherwise unsafe website.

Instant Bookmark : Want to bookmark a web page? Just click the star icon at the left edge of the address bar and you’re done.

The web gets better with more options and innovation. Google Chrome is another option, and we hope it contributes to making the web even better.

Well, in the first use I didn’t found anything special in this browser. About the speed, it’s not much faster than Firefox. But lets see what other have to say.

I think its beautiful. I have been using it and have not felt out of place. The only thing I miss are the add-ons. Firefox is history as soon as that happens (at least for me): http://blog.gadodia.net/google-chrome-vs-mozilla-firefox/

“We are so, so happy with Google Chrome,” mumbled Mozilla CEO John Lilly through gritted teeth. “That most of our income is from Google has no bearing on me making this statement.” http://notnews.today.com/?p=57
